We loved both Varadero and Martha! This was our first experience in this part of the world with renting a place rather than getting a room in a hotel and it was really great! I do not speak Spanish, so it was mainly my husband who was communicating the details and asking questions but I could see and feel that Martha was extremely friendly and nice, she made us feel like home at her casa :)) her son and his girlfriend speak English, so I really do not think there was a problem in the communication. The rooms and the bathroom were kept super clean, the location is really great - far enough from the main street (avenue 1) but at the same time so close to the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen (5-6 min walking distance). The food was nice, we had breakfast at the casa every morning and lunches the first couple of days of our stay. I think the value of the accommodation was really reasonable, may be the food was a bit more expensive than in the place we found near by but the convenience to eat in having two little kids was compensating. I would recommend Martha's to everyone I know :))
