Cuba Rent House Privacy Options

Usually when someone in Cuba talk about rent, they refer to a private room (s) from an apartment or a house, sometimes the owners rent a private room within a home or apartment and sometimes (less common) an entire home (whether is apartment or house).

In vararent we define all spaces as “rent houses” and specify in the house description if it is an apartment, otherwise is a house. But please feel free to ask any doubts about the home type you are trying to book.

Rent House Privacy Options

The room type can be:

Private Room
Entire House
Entire/Private

Private room

Rent houses where you have your own room but share some common spaces like the kitchen, terrace, and balconies, portal and others. You rent out a private room within a home.

This is the most common privacy option in Cuba. Almost all houses rent private rooms.

Usually a private room has always a private entrance from the rest of the house, and also a private bathroom. Sometimes the main door to the house is also common, but the private rooms will always have a private entrance with security keys.

Entire house

Rent houses where you have the whole place to yourself. You rent the entire home.

The owner lives in other house far from the one they rent.

Entire Houses/Private Rooms

These rent houses are a combination from the other two privacy categories. Rent Houses where you can have the whole place if you rent all rooms, but if you don’t you share some common spaces.

If you rent by rooms you will have your own room but will share some common spaces like the kitchen, terrace, and balconies, portal and other. You rent out a private room within a home. The room usually has a private entrance from the rest of the house and a private bathroom, sometimes the main door to the house is also common, but the private rooms will always have a private entrance with security keys.

But these rent houses can also be rented entirely if you rent all rooms. You can have the whole place to yourself. In this case you rent the entire home (all rooms, kitchen and all the spaces of the house).

What's the difference between these privacy categories?

First of all is up to you, sometimes is availability. You may want a specific rent house and is unavailable so you may change to another type of rent house.

There are 3 types of privacy options that you must know before renting a house in Varadero: "Private Room", "Entire House", "Entire House/Private room” which is a combination of the first two categories, in this case if you rent all rooms you will have an entire house and if not you will have a private room.
In a Private Room you have your own room but share some common spaces.
In an Entire House you have the whole place to yourself.
The main differences between the privacy categories are the contact with the owners, the shared spaces and the services offered.
